Chase and Teresa’s Asheville Wedding

Most of the time when we shoot a wedding, we meet the couple for the first time during our initial consultation.  David and I had the privilege of shooting a wedding this past weekend that was a little different!  Teresa is the daughter of Dietrich, a long time friend of David’s, so he’s known her since she was a little girl.  Chase we met more recently at a family birthday party.  He and Teresa weren’t engaged yet, but David told me when we left that he didn’t think  it would be long, and he was right!

The wedding was in Asheville, NC at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Biltmore Village.  David worked with the men as they were getting ready nearby.  Bow ties are always a challenge:

Teresa and her ladies got ready in a room at the hotel:

Look at all the cameras!

Pretty bouquet!

and even prettier bride!

The ceremony was in a courtyard on the fourth floor of the hotel, adjacent to the ballroom:

Dietrich and Teresa:

After the ceremony, we went across the street to the entrance of the Biltmore Estate to do portraits.  It was a busy day there so we had to time our shots around the cars driving by, but you’d never be able to tell it from the pictures:

And then it was back over to the hotel:

Teresa and Chase had a very talented bridal party!  One of Teresa’s bridesmaids sang for their first dance, and another one made this gorgeous cake!

during the toasts, this groomsman sang Chase and Teresa a song!

Chase’s father:

Isn’t the ballroom beautiful?

Bouquet toss!

And time for fun:

I’m really not sure what’s going on here, but there was an open bar and a good time was had by all!
