Wedding season is definitely in full swing! This past Friday evening it was my pleasure to shoot the wedding of Maggie and Steven. What a beautiful day it ended up being! We started off at Maggie’s parents’ house where she got ready with her bridal party.

Sacred Heart Cathedral is one of my favorite churches to shoot in:
I now pronounce you husband and wife!
Maggie and Steven:
The reception was at the Stockroom at 230 in downtown Raleigh. I really like the exposed brick and beams:
First dance:
One of the main things that Maggie and Steven asked for was that I capture the emotion of the day. I think this shot of Maggie’s sisters watching the first dance sums it up pretty nicely:
And a proud Mom and Dad:
This shot is of Maggie and her grandfather. I was amazed to learn that he had just had heart surgery eight days before the wedding. What an incredible man!
A young guest enjoying the dance floor with his mother:
Somehow in all of our conversations, Maggie and Steven neglected to tell me what an excellent air guitar player Steven is:
And air drummer. That’s Maggie’s father, Michael showing off his moves in the foreground:
Toasts:
And more dancing to end the evening:
